About the position

The Community Affairs Program Manager will support the Datacenter Strategy, Engagement, and Operations teams at Microsoft. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships with local stakeholders to enhance community engagement and investment strategies, thereby supporting the growth and operations of Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. The position involves creating collaboration tools, maintaining engagement calendars, coordinating training, and managing reports to ensure effective communication and operations within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a global calendar of external engagements and events.
  • Consolidate and deliver monthly reports and a monthly engagement newsletter.
  • Support the preparation of materials for internal briefings.
  • Update and maintain playbooks and SharePoint resources, creating a library of best practices.
  • Develop tools to increase collaboration across teams and regions.
  • Organize monthly meetings with global community affairs teams and engagement vendors.
  • Coordinate an internal training series.
  • Provide budget management support and procurement, including contracts with vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, or process improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience working in community affairs or communications.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the datacenter industry.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office product suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing SharePoint and Power BI resources.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a global environment, collaborating with teams in different countries and time zones.
  • Experience with building and nurturing partnerships and influencing multiple stakeholders.
