About the position

Recustom is seeking a full-time Community and Content Manager to join our remote team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong administrative and customer service skills who are eager to contribute to the growth of our online ritual database and community. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and will primarily serve as a content moderator and customer service representative for the newly revamped Recustom.com platform. The expectation is for the Community and Content Manager to become a content and platform expert, familiarizing themselves with the rituals available on Recustom.com and how to utilize the platform for DIY Jewish rituals. The responsibilities of this role include moderating all Jewish rituals on Recustom.com by reviewing and approving incoming content, tagging content appropriately for easy discoverability, and compiling content into Jewish ritual booklets for various occasions. Additionally, the Community and Content Manager will support our community of users by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting website issues, hosting office hours and workshops, and creating Help Center articles. Administrative tasks such as building bulk emails, coordinating editorial meetings, and supporting the development and marketing teams will also be part of this role. This position is a full-time, 38-hour work week with a flexible schedule, requiring core working hours of 9 am to 1 pm Eastern, Monday through Friday. While the organization observes Jewish holidays, there may be occasions when the Community and Content Manager will need to be on-call to assist users during these times.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full review of popular content on Recustom.com and ensure all content is tagged and categorized appropriately.
  • Assist with the transfer of content from old platforms to the new one.
  • Create comprehensive community guidelines and review all incoming user-generated content to ensure compliance with those guidelines.
  • Compile content into curated ritual booklets for various lifecycle events.
  • Build relationships with partners and users to encourage content updates and new uploads.
  • Support internal staff in finding appropriate rituals from the Recustom.com platform for sharing and promotion.
  • Track website and user analytics to identify popular content and inform the team about trends or content gaps.
  • Provide administrative support for Recustom's content working group, including taking meeting minutes and coordinating meetings.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a communications or media role, or in a customer-facing role at a software or tech company.
  • Background in content moderation, including curating, categorizing, and cataloging a large collection of content.
  • Familiarity with Jewish rituals and traditions, with an understanding of diverse Jewish community needs.
  • Customer service experience, demonstrating patience and kindness toward a diverse community of users.
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly and assist users in troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and gaps.
  • Strong writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot for email marketing and communications.
  • Experience in hosting webinars or workshops.
