The job of Community and Dropout Prevention Specialist, Alternative Education, under the general direction of the Coordinator/Principal, is done for the purpose(s) of facilitating the return of frequently truant students and the reentry of students who have dropped out of the educational system; providing information and/or referrals to community resources; and performs other job related duties as assigned for at-risk youth to insure successful high school completion and transition. This position is itinerant and will require regular travel to various site locations in Riverside County, including home visits.
