About the position

The Portfolio Community Association Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of community associations in accordance with governing documents. This role involves direct interaction with the Board of Directors, contractors, and residents to ensure effective community operations and problem resolution. The manager will balance multiple projects, maintain financial oversight, and ensure compliance with state regulations while fostering positive relationships within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Organize time effectively in a dynamic work environment and balance competing demands of multiple projects.
  • Adhere to high performance standards and model them to the staff.
  • Complete projects by motivating, supervising, and directing a team of associates.
  • Foster professional relationships with residents, the Board of Directors, and contractors.
  • Analyze and address potential problems within the community.
  • Review financial reports and develop accurate financial budgets.
  • Maintain knowledge of state regulatory agency statutes and community policies.
  • Ensure property improvement and maintenance of common areas.
  • Prepare for and conduct association meetings.
  • Process violations, work orders, and architectural control applications.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Experience with site inspections and conducting meetings is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and documents.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Experience in Association Software such as Caliber is favorable.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of managerial experience in association management or similar fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality, apartments, developer, or real estate management.
  • Involvement in overseeing property operations and resident retention.
