About the position

CAMS (Community Association Management Services) is seeking a dedicated Community Association Manager to oversee a portfolio of homeowner associations. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with boards of directors and providing them with the guidance they need to manage their communities effectively. As a Community Manager, you will be immersed in a supportive and technologically advanced environment that values inclusion and growth. You will be responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with both boards and homeowners, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the highest level of service. Your responsibilities will include preparing and presenting budgets, analyzing monthly financial reports, and creating variance reports to keep boards informed about their financial standing. You will also be tasked with creating monthly management reports and coordinating with vendors for community maintenance projects. Regular attendance at board meetings and internal team meetings is essential, as is the supervision of administrative and maintenance staff when applicable. This position requires a proactive approach to managing daily operations and ensuring that all aspects of community management are handled efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Maintain an open line of communication with boards of directors and homeowners
  • Prepare and present budgets to boards
  • Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports
  • Create monthly management reports
  • Contact and coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects
  • Oversee daily operations of the portfolio of communities
  • Regularly attend board meetings and internal team meetings
  • Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in learning new technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports
  • Familiarity with insurance regarding HOAs
  • Grasp of contractual bidding processes
  • Knowledge of proper meeting order
  • Familiarity with the architectural request process
  • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years in the HOA management field (strongly preferred)
  • CAI designation(s) strongly preferred
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
