About the position

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a dedicated professional to provide critical support and intervention for youth and families in crisis. As a Crisis Support Specialist, you will provide crisis and connective services to youth and families who are experiencing significant psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems that are interfering with their well-being in spaces including but not limited to client homes, community spaces, etc. You will conduct assessments of needs, safety planning, and crisis intervention services as needed. As a Crisis Support Specialist, you will work alongside a treatment team, including clinicians, counselors, and peer/family partners to help deliver services. Apply now and be a driving force in creating lasting change and support for those in need! Seneca's Mobile Response Team (MRT) program provides proactive early intervention before crises escalate to divert youth from more restrictive interventions. Our team consists of mental health professionals dedicated to same-day crisis intervention for youth facing immediate crises and ensures that families receive coordinated care and access to long-term services. The Mobile Response Team's overarching goal is to prevent suicide, minimize unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, decrease police involvement, and reduce the criminalization of mental health. This program specifically caters to low-income and at-risk community members, offering assistance to youth with Medi-Cal or no insurance. These crisis intervention services are provided in homes, schools, and various community locations. You will respond to each crisis as a team, never going out alone, while collaborating with fellow community partners that work to serve our youth.
