The Community Based Program (CBP) Provider plays a crucial role in delivering school-based services, which include classroom enrichment and counseling for students. CBP Providers collaborate closely with teachers and administrators to identify students who may require additional support. Utilizing evidence-based practices, they provide resources to parents and teachers to enhance the mental well-being of students. It is essential for Providers to submit progress notes and reports punctually and to attend all required meetings. Reliable transportation is necessary, and flexibility in working hours is expected. Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based services such as classroom enrichment and counseling for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify students needing additional support.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to offer resources to parents and teachers.
  • Submit progress notes and reports on time.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Maintain a caseload of 1 site for part-time or 2 school sites for full-time positions.
  • Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Master's level or higher degree program in counseling psychology or social work and registration in a Practicum course as a Trainee, OR registration with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as an AMFT or ASW.
  • One year of experience in a mental health setting working with children or youth, including client assessment, treatment planning, and case management.
  • Ability to diagnose and assess based on current DSM criteria.
  • Friendly communication style with school staff, client caregivers, and treatment team while utilizing Evidence Based Practices.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work with children displaying severe maladaptive behavior.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and Cantonese preferred.
  • Located within a 30-mile radius of El Sobrante, CA.
