About the position

The Community Behavioral Health Manager position is a vital role within the Butler/Warren County Area, focusing on providing a range of services tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, emotional disturbances, and mental health challenges. This multifaceted position requires the manager to oversee and support direct service providers, ensuring that evidence-based techniques are effectively implemented in their work with both children and adults. The manager will be responsible for coordinating mental health treatment and support services, adapting their approach based on the specific caseload they handle. In this role, the Community Behavioral Health Manager will receive regular supervision from various directors and supervisors within ABS Transitions. This supervision will take place through direct observation, clinical meetings, and video reviews, ensuring that the manager is supported in their professional development and adherence to best practices. The position emphasizes the importance of ongoing training and development, with supervisors required to participate in team meetings and professional development sessions as outlined in their individual staff development plans. The Community Behavioral Health Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the services provided by ABS Transitions. This position is full-time, with a standard 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and is based in Batavia, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive services to direct service providers working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, emotional disturbances, and mental health needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of evidence-based techniques by direct service providers.
  • Receive and participate in 1:1 and group supervision from ABS Transitions Directors and Supervisors.
  • Attend team meetings and professional development sessions as part of the staff development plan.
  • Document supervision and training activities regularly.

Requirements

  • Valid BCBA certification is required.
  • Experience in patient observation is preferred.
