About the position

The Community Building Program Manager will oversee and support the community building program at Hospitality House, ensuring the delivery of participant-centered services. This role involves managing program activities, supervising staff, and engaging with the community to promote positive initiatives. The manager will also handle program planning, implementation, and reporting, while representing the organization in community forums.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff and provide support for program activities.
• Manage program planning, implementation, and clinical service provision for participants.
• Conduct community organizing around violence prevention and cultural events.
• Manage the peer internship project, including curriculum development and subcontractor management.
• Represent Hospitality House in community forums and organize campaigns.
• Oversee contracts, data collection, and reporting for the program.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience working with marginalized populations such as those experiencing poverty, homelessness, or mental health issues.
• 2 years of management experience in a community program or relevant supervisory experience with a BA/BS or MA/MS degree.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues and substance use dynamics.
• Experience adhering to grant reporting requirements and documentation of services.
• Experience leading collaborative processes and facilitating meetings.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Experience with community organizing and leadership development in a peer-based setting.
