About the position

The Community Center Liaison Lead II plays a vital role in supporting the management and oversight of community center activities and programs. This position involves assisting with program planning, volunteer coordination, and stakeholder communication, while also stepping in for the Community Center Liaison Lead I when necessary. The role is essential for ensuring the effective delivery of recreational programs for diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of recreational programs for adults, youth, and the disabled.
• Collaborates with the Community Center Liaison Lead I to develop and implement sustainability strategies.
• Assists with the recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff and volunteers.
• Develops and maintains relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Assists with the preparation and management of program budgets.
• Assists with the marketing and promotion of community center programs.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares reports as required.
• Assumes the duties and responsibilities of Community Center Liaison Lead I in their absence.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, social work, education, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in community-based recreational programming.
• Must possess a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
