About the position

The Community Connect Program Analyst at Oregon Health & Science University will support the Community Connect organizations by leveraging in-depth knowledge of Epic systems. This role involves acting as a liaison between end users, vendors, and information systems support teams, focusing on the design and implementation of Epic Billing applications. The analyst will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet the operational needs and enhance patient care processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct overall system analysis, design, validation, implementation, and troubleshooting of Epic Hospital Resolute applications.
  • Consult with customers to understand workflows, processes, and technical issues related to application software.
  • Analyze design alternatives and make recommendations in coordination with the Senior Community Connect Analyst.
  • Design, validate, and confirm application functionality that meets customer specifications.
  • Test application builds to ensure they meet end-user requirements.
  • Identify pain points and establish action plans for testing processes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to optimize and coordinate the design of Resolute applications.
  • Work with the Senior Community Connect Analyst to assess new project requests and enhancements.
  • Develop project plans and timelines, identifying resource allocation across Epic application teams.
  • Communicate project impacts and risks to operational partners and escalate issues as necessary.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 5 years of experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in IT, billing, or revenue cycle management.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and project management experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience working in partnership with multiple planning groups, including physicians.

Nice-to-haves

  • Epic Certification
  • Experience implementing an Integrated Enterprise Hospital System, preferably Epic.
  • Knowledge of project coordination and management.
  • Experience in implementing technology that promotes changes in hospital settings.
  • Working knowledge of hospital operations and patient care processes.
