About the position

As a Community Consultant (Leasing Agent) at Kinect @ Shoreline Apartments, you will play a pivotal role in the leasing process of a new 240-unit midrise community set to open in 2024. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of the property to prospective tenants. You will be responsible for conducting tours of the units, highlighting the unique selling points of the property, and ensuring that all tenant relations are handled with a high level of professionalism and care. Your role will also involve maintaining a thorough understanding of the local rental market to provide accurate information to potential renters. In addition to leasing responsibilities, you will be tasked with preparing and maintaining reports for management, hosting community events, and ensuring compliance with American Property Management's Quality Standards. This position requires a physical presence on-site during scheduled hours, with a work schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility to work additional hours may be necessary to meet the needs of the company or specific projects. Responsibilities

  • Tour units with prospective tenants and highlight the qualities and selling points of the property/units.
  • Handle customer and tenant relations and ensure all issues are being addressed promptly and with a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain knowledge of the current area market.
  • Prepare and maintain reports for managers.
  • Host community events and ensure they are complying with American Property Management's Quality Standards.
  • Assist residents from beginning to end of the rental process.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in customer service is required.
  • 1+ years' experience in the multifamily/student housing industry within the last 10 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws, Landlord/Tenant Laws and ADA laws preferred.
  • Lease up experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with property management software is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
