About the position

The Community Corrections Residential Case Manager plays a vital role in supervising assigned caseloads, developing individualized case plans, and ensuring compliance with court orders. This position is integral to supporting clients in their rehabilitation journey by connecting them with community resources and monitoring their progress. The role emphasizes the importance of communication, accountability, and collaboration with various stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision to assigned caseload.
  • Identifies risks and needs of clients.
  • Develops individualized case plans based on assessments.
  • Completes ongoing assessments and utilizes communication strategies to support case plans.
  • Makes referrals to community-based programs for job development, education, training, substance abuse treatment, and mental health treatment.
  • Evaluates and monitors client compliance, performance, and progress.
  • Holds clients accountable and monitors violations, extensions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Prepares legal documents to be presented to court.
  • Assists clients with budgeting to address financial obligations.
  • Acknowledges client success and reviews case files.
  • Interviews clients to determine eligibility and make recommendations to court based on prior criminal history.
  • Processes files and staffs caseloads, providing guidance and direction to clients.
  • Maintains ongoing correspondence with court, attorneys, judges, schools, law enforcement, service providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Arranges or provides transportation to clients as needed.
  • Conducts work, home, or school visits to monitor compliance and progress.
  • Determines approved residential placements and notifies court of non-compliance.
  • Discusses options including revocations and provides alternative sanctions to revocation.
  • Attends revocation hearings and testifies in court as necessary.
  • Facilitates individual or group programs for clients.
  • Makes recommendations for process improvement and tests new technology.
  • Collects and inputs data, case notes, and file information into assigned computer programs.
  • Creates, updates, maintains, and monitors client files and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
  • One (1) year of criminal justice or related experience.
  • Successfully pass a criminal history check.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves
