About The Position

The Community Development Director is responsible for overseeing the operations and staff of the Community Development Department in Los Alamos County. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Eight years of experience in community development or land use planning.
  • Four years of management experience in related fields.
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Class D driver's license or ability to obtain within thirty days of employment.
  • Establish residency in Los Alamos County within ninety days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Urban Planning or Public Administration.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners Certification.
