About the position

The position is responsible for developing community relationships to generate single and multifamily leads, ensuring that OneUnited Bank meets or exceeds its goals for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and community development lending. The role involves building knowledge and partnerships related to affordable housing and achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to expand OneUnited Bank's brand and presence in the local mortgage market.
  • Develop a process to prospect new mortgage loan leads (consumers and multifamily brokers).
  • Follow up with prospects to increase loan application volume.
  • Track all sales activities in Salesforce (CRM) and keep current by updating account information regularly.
  • Maintain a pipeline of leads and prospects.
  • Refer SFM leads to Branch Manager and multifamily brokers to generate successful loan applications.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and leads.
  • Meet and/or exceed sales goals such that OneUnited meets CRA and community development goals.
  • Coordinate with other teams and departments to optimize sales efforts.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to leads and existing deposit customers to sell mortgage programs.
  • Have knowledge of loan programs and OneUnited Bank deposit products and services.
  • Develop sales planning and strategizing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of banking experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
