About the position

The Community Development Manager at SkyOne Federal Credit Union is responsible for driving impactful initiatives that enhance financial literacy and support local economic growth. This role focuses on cultivating strong financial relationships with community members and organizations, promoting the credit union's products and services, and contributing to the overall member experience. The position requires collaboration across departments and involves compliance, special projects, and data analysis to inform product development.

Responsibilities

• Drive mortgage and commercial loan/deposit production.
• Cultivate strong financial relationships with current and prospective members, SEGs, associations, and community organizations.
• Enhance new membership acquisition and promote credit union products and services.
• Assist the Chief Operating Officer with compliance, special projects, and data analysis.
• Engage with local community members and organizations to foster partnerships.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years business degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Community Relationship Development Experience.
• Mortgage and Commercial Banking experience preferred.
• Ability to travel for SEG visits.
• Registered and obtain a unique identification number as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) on the NMLS.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
• Strong strategic planning skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivation, confidence, and people skills.
• Technology savvy, able to utilize digital delivery solutions and social media platforms effectively.
