Meta is seeking an experienced individual to join our data center community development team as a Community Development Regional Manager. This role is pivotal in partnering with various internal teams, including site selection, operations, communications, and public policy, to advance community development initiatives and maintain essential relationships in each of our global data center regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the data center community, which includes local county elected officials, business organizations, non-profit organizations, and local school districts. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams to understand company and infrastructure-related goals and initiatives, and how to effectively advance them at the local level. You will also be tasked with maintaining and optimizing Meta's regional data center community development plan, building strong relationships with local community partners to help alleviate risks associated with infrastructure development. Monitoring local community needs and reporting back to leadership with regular updates on risks to larger business goals will be crucial. Additionally, you will coordinate diligence and strategic planning surrounding charitable activities and other community initiatives, requiring familiarity with local and state policy and legislative processes. The role also involves managing external relationships through engagements and media interviews in local markets, and leading various projects related to our data centers as needed. The ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 50%) is also a requirement for this position.
