Meta is seeking an experienced individual to join our data center community development team. This role is crucial in partnering with our site selection, operations, communications, and public policy teams to advance community development initiatives and maintain important relationships in each of our global data center regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the data center community, including local county elected officials, business organizations, non-profit organizations, and local school districts. This position requires a proactive approach to understanding company and infrastructure-related goals and initiatives, and how to effectively advance them at the local level. In this role, you will maintain and optimize Meta's regional data center community development plan, ensuring that we build strong relationships with local community partners that help alleviate risks locally to advance infrastructure development. Monitoring local community needs and reporting back to leadership with regular updates on risks to larger business goals will be essential. You will work in partnership with internal teams to develop strategies for community involvement and coordinate diligence and strategic planning surrounding charitable activities and other community initiatives. A familiarity with local and state policy and legislative processes is important, as you will need to understand legislative proceedings and planning at a local level. Managing external relationships through engagements and media interviews in local markets will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead various projects related to our data centers as needed, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 50%) is essential for this role.
