About the position

The Community Development Support Specialist at NAYA Family Center is responsible for organizing and streamlining the Community Development Department's operations. This role focuses on standardizing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, while also serving as the technical expert on Microsoft Office applications, particularly SharePoint and MS Teams. The position requires strong project management skills and involves supporting departmental leaders in various administrative and communication tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Development (CD) department by standardizing practices and systems for various tasks.
• Create standardized practices for naming and storing documents in MS SharePoint and other databases.
• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and ensure follow-up steps are planned after meetings.
• Serve as the technical expert on Zoom and Teams meeting platforms for the CD department.
• Assist in planning events such as retreats, community gatherings, and professional development opportunities.
• Provide communications support, including creating flyers, using social media, and publishing newsletters.
• Create high-level summaries of important documents and translate complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
• Review quarterly and annual reports, tracking successes and challenges of programs and services.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in social services or project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly SharePoint and MS Teams.
• Strong project management skills, including creating written project plans with milestones and due dates.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience within an urban or reservation Native community.
• Event planning experience.
• Familiarity with Zoom and other communication platforms.
