About the position

The Community Director at Elmington Property Management is a pivotal role responsible for the overall operations, success, and tenant satisfaction of the affordable property, ECG Station. This position involves overseeing vendor relations, property maintenance, financial performance, and leasing operations to ensure efficient community management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, particularly with LIHTC regulations, and will be focused on achieving revenue goals and improving resident retention.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor relations and property maintenance.
  • Manage financial and leasing performance of the community.
  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC income limits and rent calculations.
  • Meet targeted revenue goals by exceeding occupancy budgets.
  • Improve resident retention and monitor the property's financial performance.
  • Effectively manage staff and operations of the community.
  • Act as the primary representative of Elmington to residents, vendors, and employees.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve business operations and tenant satisfaction.
  • Listen effectively and provide helpful solutions to challenges.
  • Execute Elmington's non-negotiables for community performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of multi-family property management experience.
  • Experience with LIHTC income limits and rent calculations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service focused with a professional image.
  • Financial management, review, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with federal fair housing standards.
  • Proven leadership and innovative thinking.
