About the position

The Community Director at Medio Springs Ranch is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the apartment community in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves maximizing occupancy levels, maintaining property values, and ensuring a positive atmosphere among staff and residents. The Community Director will coordinate activities, manage staff, handle financial obligations, and respond to resident concerns, all while adhering to company policies and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates persons, activities, and available resources to accomplish property objectives.
• Oversees and manages all staff responsibilities, maintaining a positive atmosphere and relationships with supervisors and owners.
• Ensures privacy of employee files and oversees leasing activity, ensuring compliance in a timely manner.
• Responsible for general market activity, marketing, and recommending specials and rental rates.
• Oversees move-out activity, work orders, collections, and the physical condition of the property.
• Manages employee relations, including hiring, performance reviews, and training.
• Meets with the Maintenance Director to review maintenance assignments and emergencies.
• Assists with financial obligations, including budget preparation and Yardi reporting.
• Handles evictions and communicates with vendors regarding work scheduling and billing.
• Responds to resident concerns and documents property incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in property management (apartments) required.
• 3+ years Tax Credit/Affordable housing experience required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Goal-oriented and solution-focused.
