About the position
Lake Forest High School District 115 is seeking a dedicated Boys Basketball Coach to lead and develop the basketball program. The coach will work under the guidance of the Community Education Coordinator, focusing on planning and assisting in the execution of basketball activities and training for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct basketball practices and games.
- Assist in the development of student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the Community Education Coordinator to enhance the basketball program.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coaching standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate registered in Lake County.
- ASEP certificate or completion of an approved NFHS coaching certification program.
- Prior experience playing and coaching basketball is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching at the high school level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
