About the position

The Community Education Manager at Anew: Building Beyond Violence & Abuse is responsible for leading the Community Education Program, which focuses on empowering communities through education and engagement related to anti-violence resources. This role involves managing a team that conducts school presentations, provides training on domestic violence topics, and develops strategic outreach plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of domestic violence dynamics, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals in the Community Education Program.
• Conduct school presentations from pre-K through secondary education.
• Provide training on topics related to domestic violence.
• Develop and implement a strategic community outreach plan.
• Collaborate with intra-agency teams to enhance service delivery.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Communicate well to coordinate services and work as a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or project management experience.
• Experience and comfort in providing trainings and public speaking.
• Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based databases.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred (pay differential offered for Spanish speaking employees).
• Completed 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training (can be provided by Anew if needed).
