About the position

Being an Employment Integration Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages. You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The Employment Integration Specialist coordinates and facilitates access to clients in the Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) and the Community Supported Employment Program (CSE). Ensures that authorizations for services are obtained and revised. Establishes and maintains community-based sites to be utilized as vocational opportunities for assigned individuals. Provides job assessment, career development, skill training and individualized support in obtaining, maintaining and enhancing community-based employment and social activities/participation. Monitors service delivery, utilization and team cohesiveness. Evaluates and uses data to support the continuing need for services.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Vocational/Rehabilitation Education, Psychology, Education or related field
  • Two years' experience working with adolescents and/or adults with an autism spectrum disorder
  • Experience with ABA instructional methods, case management and/or counseling preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills and mastery in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age
