About the position

The Community Engagement Manager at North Bay Children's Center is responsible for driving growth and impact through community outreach and engagement initiatives. This role involves attracting and recruiting candidates for educational programs while collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The manager will design public engagement strategies, oversee fundraising efforts, and build strong relationships with community partners to support the agency's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for enrollment, staffing, and donors.
  • Conduct outreach activities, including corporate engagement, attending fairs, educational expos, and community events to promote NBCC opportunities.
  • Generate interest and build a pipeline of candidates through knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Track leads, funnel prospective relationships to departments, and generate reports on enrollment metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with admissions, academic departments, and marketing teams to align recruitment efforts with strategic goals.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with prospective applicants and partners within 24 hours to address questions and encourage decisions.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
  • Build trust and reliability with clients by consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Be proactive in sharing innovative ideas and strategies to enhance client relationships.
  • Foster personal connections with clients by remembering personal details or milestones.
  • Establish clear and open lines of communication with clients to ensure they feel heard and valued.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to instill confidence in clients and encourage open engagement.
  • Create and nurture positive relationships with clients by understanding their needs and preferences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in recruitment, admissions, or marketing or sales, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in events, event planning, and hosting.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies and social media platforms for outreach purposes, including Canva, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach.
