About the position

The Community Engagement Professional at Humana plays a vital role in fostering relationships within the community through various advocacy programs, community events, and strategic initiatives. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about health and community service, as it involves a combination of remote work and fieldwork, requiring approximately 50-75% travel across surrounding Florida counties, particularly focusing on Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and either Spanish or Haitian Creole, as fluency will be assessed through a Language Proficiency Assessment, which is a condition for the job offer. In this role, the Community Engagement Professional is responsible for enhancing the visibility and credibility of Humana Healthy Horizons within the community. This is achieved through organizing events, forming partnerships, and engaging with C-suite executives. The professional will strategize methods to scale community engagement and foster deeper connections among community members, nonprofits, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and faith-based organizations. Additionally, the role requires interpreting public health and membership data to implement strategies that align with company initiatives. The position demands a high level of customer service and ongoing engagement with non-profit executives, necessitating a thorough understanding of departmental, segment, and organizational strategies.
