About the position

The Community Engagement Support Specialist at AllHealth Network is responsible for engaging with individuals and communities to raise awareness of mental health resources and services. This role involves building relationships with local organizations, providing support through interventions, and participating in community events to promote the organization's mission of enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families through integrated behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with targeted communities and community members to connect them to relevant programs and services.
  • Increase positive brand awareness of AllHealth Network in Arapahoe and Douglas Counties and the surrounding Denver area.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with clinical teams to ensure seamless referral processes and provide tours of organizational facilities.
  • Represent AllHealth Network in the community and network with other agencies to identify resources.
  • Work with individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, support, and psychoeducation on mental health concepts.
  • Maintain a positive, ethical, and professional working relationship with community and government agencies.
  • Collaborate within a team-based model to ensure effective delivery of information, including telephonic and video communication.
  • Develop and provide presentations on coping skills and AllHealth Network programs to community groups.
  • Connect AllHealth Network with community-based organizations consistent with the organization's strategy.
  • Introduce mental health concepts through small interventions and education to community members.
  • Contribute to the financial health of the organization by ensuring grant deliverables are met and utilizing data for decision-making.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to cohesive department operations.
  • Enhance professional growth by participating in relevant training as outlined by SAMHSA and CDPHE.
  • Provide administration support with data tracking and documentation regarding community needs.
  • Host and attend community engagement events to improve public awareness of AllHealth Network programs.
  • Assist with the development of community engagement materials and social media content as needed.
  • Complete all required data entry and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends for special events.
  • Follow all AllHealth Network policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required trainings within timelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in community organizing and/or marketing is preferable.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team is desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, especially MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in engaging various groups and individuals in social settings.
  • Commitment to working on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to respond and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in both group settings and independently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Mental Health and the programs provided within the system of care.
  • Ability to negotiate stairs, climb step ladder, lift equipment and supplies up to 30 lb.
  • Must possess own transportation, have a good driving record, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to relate to others in a courteous and sensitive manner.
  • Flexibility to rearrange schedule for events.
