About the position

The Community Enrichment Program Manager for the City of Kaukauna is responsible for developing and coordinating community recreational and enrichment programs, as well as special events. This role involves researching and recommending opportunities for community partnerships and managing events at the historic Grignon Mansion. The manager will enhance existing events and ensure effective community relations while overseeing program operations and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate community recreational/enrichment and special event opportunities.
• Research and recommend opportunities for special events and community partnerships.
• Plan, organize, direct, oversee, and conduct enrichment programs and services for all ages.
• Assist with the development and evaluation of fees and charges associated with program offerings.
• Provide input on program and event budgets for the Director's review.
• Manage and coordinate staffing needs for all programs and events.
• Manage supply and equipment inventories at facilities.
• Develop and maintain effective community and public relations programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Program Management or related field.
• 2-3 years of direct experience in community programming or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic math skills for budgeting and reconciliation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Considerable knowledge of enrichment or recreational programming, administration, and operations.
• Experience leading safe work and recreational program practices.
• Knowledge of personnel administration to select, lead, train and manage department personnel.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and municipal ordinances governing programs and facilities.
• Previous experience with registration and reservation systems.
• CPR Certification.
