About the position

The Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR) in the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seek a full-time non-tenure-eligible Assistant Professor in the Clinician-Educator track. Responsibilities

  • Engage in program evaluation and research including a focus on translation and implementation science of evidence-based interventions and strategies in schools and other child-serving settings including community-based organizations.
  • Consults to community, school district and other agency leaders and staff to establish progress monitoring and evaluation systems for social-emotional learning and behavioral health programming in these settings.
  • Contributes intellectually and strategically to the development of thematic research and evaluation projects related to CCR community and school-based initiatives.
  • Collaborates with CCR leadership, staff, and community partners to apply research methods and data analytics to develop and implement effective ways to evaluate impact of CCR's programs and initiatives.
  • Assists with philanthropic, government, and research grants, including grant and proposal writing, reporting, and budget development and monitoring deliverables.
  • Participates in dissemination and quality improvement evaluation/research of program implementation and impact.
  • Contributes to CCR and Hospital advocacy mission through participation in local, state, and national stakeholder and advocacy groups related to mental health services and the impact of trauma and violence on children, youth, and communities.

Requirements

  • PhD in clinical psychology.
  • APA-approved internship.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child and adolescent psychology or pediatric psychology.
  • At least three years of experience with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in program evaluation and participatory action research methods.
  • Experience providing consultation and training to educators and community mental health professionals in school and community settings.
