About the position

The Community Homes Program Director at Lifesteps Inc. is a leadership role responsible for overseeing Residential Client Homes that provide direct care services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Director ensures high-quality care, advocates for person-centered approaches, and manages the development and implementation of various support plans. This full-time position involves supervising frontline staff, conducting performance reviews, and participating in agency communication efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee approximately 4 - 5 Community Homes providing direct care services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure participants receive high-quality care and are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to support their person-centered care and healthy outcomes.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Behavior Plans, and other necessary plans.
  • Administer performance reviews and disciplinary actions for frontline supervisors and direct care staff.
  • Create work schedules and assist with training new staff members.
  • Report on monthly metrics and participate in the Agency Communication Team.

Requirements

  • An Associate's Degree and 6 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 4 years of Director-level supervisory experience required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 2 years of Director-level experience required.
  • A Master's Degree and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 1 year of Director-level experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance is required.
  • Must become a PA Certified Investigator and obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire.
