About the position
The Community Host Family Recruiter for ISE International Exchange Student Programs is a remote, contract position focused on recruiting and supporting host families for international exchange students. This role is ideal for community-oriented individuals who want to make a positive impact by facilitating cultural exchange and integration within the Muskegon community. The recruiter will engage with local schools, identify potential host families, and provide ongoing support to ensure a rewarding experience for both students and families.
Responsibilities
- Engaging with local high schools to promote the benefits of hosting exchange students.
- Recruiting and screening potential host families for international students.
- Providing ongoing support to host families and students throughout the year-long homestay.
- Maintaining regular monthly contact with students and host families to ensure a positive exchange experience.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching, coaching, community work, or social work is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in community engagement or non-profit work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
