About the position

The Community Impact and Survivor Advocate at Treasured Vessels Foundation is responsible for providing comprehensive support and advocacy services to female survivors of sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking. This role involves assessing client needs, developing individualized service plans, coordinating resources, and offering emotional support to facilitate the healing and recovery process. The advocate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that survivors receive Christ-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed care while also engaging with community coalitions and advocating for systemic changes to further the mission of the foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify the immediate and long-term needs of survivors.
  • Develop and implement individualized case management plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Continuously monitor and reassess client needs and progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Connect clients with appropriate resources, including medical care, mental health services, housing, legal assistance, and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of community resources and build relationships with service providers.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the services and support needed.
  • Provide trauma-informed support and crisis intervention to clients.
  • Facilitate support groups and workshops aimed at empowering survivors and promoting healing.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure clients receive appropriate therapeutic services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including case notes, assessments, and service plans.
  • Prepare regular reports on client progress and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Participate in community outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking.
  • Advocate for systemic changes to improve services and support for survivors.
  • Engage with local coalitions, attend community meetings, and participate in outreach efforts.
  • Represent TVF at networking events, fostering partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders.
  • Engage in public speaking opportunities to raise awareness for TVF's mission and advocate for survivors.
  • Promote TVF's programs to potential partners, stakeholders, and donors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, sales, business development, or a related field, preferably working with survivors of sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking.
  • Must pass state-wide criminal background check.
  • Must be CPR/FIRST AID certified (can be up to 90 days post-hire).
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
