About the position

The Inclusion Way mission provides fulfillment and financial freedom for our employees by delivering life-transforming community engagement services for intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. As a Community Inclusion Specialist (POD Leader) at The Inclusion Way, you'll be at the forefront of empowering individuals with disabilities to set and achieve goals for independent living within their communities. This position is full-time and nonexempt, requiring a vehicle with valid insurance, as mileage reimbursement for business-related purposes is provided. The starting hourly pay is $22, which includes options for Health, Dental, and Vision insurance. In this role, the Community Inclusion Specialist facilitates opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate in small group activities in the community. The position requires an individual to be enthusiastic and creative while facilitating planned client activities. The Community Inclusion Specialist reports to the Programs Manager and collaborates with other Pod Leaders to discover and facilitate community outings. A flexible schedule is necessary, which may include some evenings and Saturdays. The Inclusion Way company is uniquely positioned for rapid growth throughout California and seeks individuals who align with its Core Values: Humility, Enthusiasm, Adaptability, Resiliency, and Trustworthiness. A typical pod leader schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional activities scheduled on weeknights and Saturdays for pod participation. In these instances, the program manager will adjust work schedules accordingly or allow overtime pay to be earned.
