The Voice News is looking for a passionate community journalist to cover local news across 25 communities and over seven high schools. This full-time position emphasizes the importance of community journalism and requires a commitment to engaging with local stories and events. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to make community journalism a lifestyle, along with some photography experience and a willingness to learn design skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover local news stories across multiple communities.
• Engage with the community to gather news and information.
• Write articles and reports for publication.
• Take photographs to accompany news stories.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely publication of news.
• Attend community events and meetings as needed.

Requirements

• 1 year of journalism experience (preferred).
• 1 year of writing experience (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License (required).

Nice-to-haves

• Photography experience or interest in learning.
