About the position
Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a self-motivated and passionate Community Liaison to promote its unique hospice care services in the Dayton, OH area. This role focuses on building strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, and community partners to increase preference for hospice services and ensure patients receive the care they deserve. The Community Liaison will play a key role in growing the hospice's census and acting as a positive reflection of the program.
Responsibilities
- Determine primary decision makers and proactively build positive relationships with the medical community and partners.
- Promote and position hospice patient care services through regular visits that illustrate the quality of care and unique capabilities.
- Build the brand of the hospice as the preferred provider in the service area to achieve growth and census management goals.
- Make regular, planned calls to secure new referrals and meet established goals with referring physicians, facilities, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
- Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to provide an overview of hospice services and obtain consents for care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with additional experience substituting for educational requirements.
- Minimum of two years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare required.
- Hospice/palliative marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Skilled at establishing and maintaining working relationships with key staff and healthcare professionals.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts.
Nice-to-haves
