About the position
Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a self-motivated and passionate Community Liaison to promote its unique hospice programs and services in the North DFW area. This role focuses on building strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, and community partners to increase preference for hospice services and ensure patients receive the care they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Determine primary decision makers and proactively build positive relationships with the medical community and partners.
- Promote and position hospice patient care services through regular visits that reflect the quality of care and unique capabilities of the hospice.
- Build the brand of the hospice as the preferred provider in the service area to achieve and exceed growth and census management goals.
- Make regular, planned calls to secure new referrals and build census, meeting established goals with referring physicians, facilities, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
- Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to provide an overview of hospice services and obtain consents for care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Minimum of two (2) years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare required.
- Hospice/palliative marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Skilled at establishing and maintaining working relationships with key staff and clinical staff to ensure understanding of hospice services.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, including physicians and community agencies.
- Prior clinical experience is a plus.
