About the position

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a self-motivated and passionate Community Liaison (Sales Representative) to promote its unique hospice programs and services in the Dayton, OH area. This role focuses on building strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, and community partners to increase preference for hospice services and ensure patients receive the care they deserve. The position is integral to the growth and success of the organization, contributing to a culture of teamwork and making a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Determine primary decision makers and proactively build positive relationships with members of the medical community and partners.
  • Promote and position Hospice's patient care service through regular visits that reflect the quality of care and unique capabilities of the Hospice.
  • Build the brand of the hospice as the preferred provider in the service area to achieve and exceed agency goals for growth and census management.
  • Make regular, planned calls to secure new referrals, build census, and meet established goals with referring physicians, facilities, case managers, discharge planners, and social workers.
  • Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to provide an overview of hospice services and philosophy, and obtain consents for care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with additional experience substitutable for educational requirements.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare required.
  • Hospice/palliative marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining working relationships with key staff, marketing contracts, and clinical staff.
  • Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
  • Prior clinical experience is a plus.
