About the position
The Community Liaison plays a crucial role in fostering relationships between the organization and the community. This position is responsible for promoting public health initiatives, educating the community on available resources, and advocating for individuals affected by addiction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be adept at public speaking, and have a passion for community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups to enhance outreach efforts.
- Educate the community about addiction resources and public health initiatives through workshops, presentations, and social media campaigns.
- Collect and analyze data to assess community needs and measure the effectiveness of programs.
- Supervise volunteers and staff during community events and initiatives.
- Assist in fundraising efforts to support community programs and services.
- Manage social media platforms to promote events, share success stories, and engage with the community.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in public health or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in social media management to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Experience in data collection and analysis to inform program development.
- Background in addiction counseling is a plus but not required.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of supervising teams or volunteers.
- Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to educate diverse groups effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for administrative tasks.
- A passion for community service and a commitment to improving public health outcomes.
