About the position

The Community Liaison - Marketer - Business Development role is a full-time position focused on enhancing the admissions and intake processes within a skilled nursing facility. The position involves community outreach, patient education, and coordination with various healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in skilled nursing marketing and will play a crucial role in welcoming new residents and supporting their families throughout the admission process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the admissions and intake processes.
• Conduct outreach and education on facility services to professional contacts and community organizations.
• Participate in touring and orientation of potential residents and their families.
• Facilitate necessary services and coordination with patient care departments for new admits.
• Assist the Social Service Director in planning and implementing social service programs related to admissions.
• Provide information to residents and families regarding Medicare/Medicaid and financial assistance programs.
• Maintain quality relationships with medical professionals and health-related organizations.
• Assist residents and families with emotional problems related to illness and admission.
• Collaborate with community agencies for discharge planning and referrals.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care.
• Solid leadership and relationship/team-building skills.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in skilled nursing marketing.
