About the position

The Community Living Support Specialist for the YES Waiver program at TCC-MHMR Services of Texoma is responsible for providing curriculum-based skills training to participants affected by serious emotional disturbances. This role involves maintaining a caseload of Children's Mental Health clients and operating under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models. The position emphasizes the importance of understanding trauma and cultural differences while delivering support to individuals with mental health and addiction issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide curriculum-based skills training to YES Waiver participants.
• Maintain a caseload of Children's Mental Health clients as assigned.
• Operate under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care.
• Ensure compliance with CCBHC standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and maintain good working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, or Counseling.
• Qualification for QMHP-CS.
• Two years of Human Services experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or addiction issues is desirable.
• Current driver's license and a vehicle for use at work.

• Ability to speak a second language relevant to the population served.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn and understand other electronic software programs/systems used by TCC.
• Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
