About the position

The Community Management Intern at Walgreens is designed for students who are beginning or completing their senior year towards a Bachelor's degree. This role focuses on providing an extraordinary customer experience in a retail store setting while learning various operational tasks and responsibilities. The intern will engage with customers, assist in store operations, and participate in training and personal development activities.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members.
• Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors and price verifications.
• Assists manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
• Learns to analyze inventory trends and supervises inventory management.
• Assists in evaluating and developing displays and completing resets.
• Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Works as a group to complete the Intern Team Challenge and present to leaders.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Should be a Student beginning or completing Senior year towards a Bachelor's degree.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
