About the position

The Community Manager - Acquisition at Dayrise Residential is responsible for overseeing the business operations and profitability of a multifamily community. This role requires strong resident relations and interpersonal skills to attract, guide, develop, and mentor a high-performing team. The Community Manager ensures compliance with company policies and values, fostering a culture of workplace excellence and exceptional service for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead team members to achieve team success.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospects to increase renewal, revenue, and overall satisfaction.
  • Strategically plan and meet individual and community performance goals consistent with market conditions.
  • Achieve market results that exceed submarket occupancy and rent growth performance.
  • Ensure team provides customer service at every point of contact, exceeding residents' expectations.
  • Ensure community compliance with safety, industry, and state/city/federal regulations.
  • Recruit and develop a successful team, understanding their professional goals.
  • Perform tasks of other team members as needed, including leasing and preparing apartment homes for leasing.
  • Establish and monitor community budget daily in accordance with established goals.
  • Ensure collection and deposit of all applicable deposits, rents, and other fees.
  • Manage marketing efforts to increase occupancy.
  • Work closely with service team to manage community maintenance programs.
  • Inspect community regularly to determine quality and address needs.
  • Understand the industry, competition, and market to improve results.
  • Take initiative to improve management ability, operating skills, and job knowledge.
  • Maintain professional and positive communication.
  • Be involved in appropriate external associations and local communities.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Clear understanding of business concepts, processes, and principles of strategic thinking.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multifamily operations including people management, financial reporting, and resident relations.
  • Ability to visually inspect apartment homes and grounds to ensure standards are met.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience in Property Management
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • CAM/CPM Certification preferred
  • Experience in MS Office Word/Excel and basic computer technology skills; OneSite/Yieldstar experience preferred
