About the position

The Community Manager will oversee the daily operations of an affordable housing community, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a high standard of living for residents. This role involves managing occupancy, marketing, leasing, and resident relations while fostering a safe and well-maintained environment. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage staff and coordinate with various stakeholders, including residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the operation of the community on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee occupancy, marketing, leasing, and the move-in/out process.
• Conduct quarterly unit inspections and monitor maintenance projects.
• Enforce community rules and manage rent eviction and collections in accordance with state law and company policy.
• Negotiate and supervise third-party vendors and contractors.
• Manage accounts receivables/payments, supplies, and inventory, ensuring timely payment of expenses.
• Foster relationships with residents, vendors, law enforcement, and community members.
• Ensure the community is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate on-site personnel.

Requirements

• Experience in leasing, sales, and customer service.
• Knowledge of Tax Credit Compliance, EIV, and HUD Section 8 subsidy programs.
• Familiarity with REAC and MOR compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Paycom software.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite is preferred.
• Experience managing residential communities, particularly subsidized housing.
• Strong attention to detail and sales-minded approach.
• Adherence to Federal Fair Housing Laws.
