About the position

IRT Living is seeking a dedicated Community Manager to lead our community staff and ensure excellence in property management. As a Community Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping potential residents find their dream homes while ensuring that our current residents feel valued and engaged within the IRT family. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a multifamily community, managing a team, and maintaining high standards of service and satisfaction among residents. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive community atmosphere and achieving operational goals. In this role, you will manage a community with approximately 500 units, requiring strong leadership skills and a commitment to customer service. You will be expected to analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and regulations. Your ability to recognize details and plan accordingly will be essential in meeting deadlines and maintaining the community's operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be involved in renovation projects, requiring experience in managing such initiatives effectively. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the community staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Assist potential residents in finding their new homes.
  • Ensure current residents feel valued and engaged within the community.
  • Oversee daily operations of the multifamily community with approximately 500 units.
  • Analyze computerized rent rolls, receivable and payable reports, and monthly financial reports.
  • Manage budgets and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Plan and execute renovation projects as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction among residents.
  • Conduct staff appreciation events and community celebrations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of multi-family community management experience or 6 years in a leadership role within a multi-family community.
  • Experience managing a single community with 500 units.
  • Strong leadership ability and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to recognize details, plan accordingly, and meet deadlines.
  • Renovations experience required.
  • Ability to analyze computerized rent rolls and financial reporting materials.
  • Knowledge of MSOffice Suite with proficiency in Word & Excel.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills desired; Entrata experience preferred, although Yardi or RealPage are acceptable.
  • Experience using LRO or YieldStar.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
