About the position

The Community Manager at Greystar is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated property, ensuring that it meets financial and operational goals while complying with relevant laws and company policies. This role involves managing staff, handling budgets, and maintaining resident satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Analyze financial statements and develop budgets for the property.
  • Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Approve invoices from vendors and manage communication regarding payments.
  • Control expenditures to stay within the approved budget.
  • Oversee the lease enforcement process, including resident applications and evictions.
  • Implement marketing and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship through updates and property tours.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and implement strategies accordingly.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-family housing operations.
  • Familiarity with property management software.
  • Leadership experience in a similar role.
