About the position

KMG Prestige is seeking a Community Manager in Canton, Michigan who is goal-oriented, enjoys new challenges, and has a passion for property management. Community Managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the apartment community, handling resident concerns, rent collection, marketing the community, and leading the site staff. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all residents. The Community Manager will also be involved in strategic planning to enhance community engagement and satisfaction, ensuring that the property meets its financial and operational goals. The position demands strong leadership skills to effectively manage the site staff and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, the Community Manager will be expected to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, while also promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the apartment community.
  • Handle resident concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage rent collection processes.
  • Market the community to attract new residents.

Requirements

  • Property management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Budgeting experience.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to obtain Real Estate Salesperson License (paid for by the company).
  • Section 8 / Tax Credit experience.
