About the position

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned property. This role involves managing team members, daily activities, and resources to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals. The Community Manager will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations, including Fair Housing and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Community Manager will play a crucial role in the financial management of the property by providing input into budget development, analyzing financial statements, and reviewing marketing information. Responsibilities include setting rent rates, ensuring timely collection of rents and fees, and preparing monthly financial status reports. The role also involves approving invoices from vendors and contractors, managing petty cash, and overseeing lease enforcement processes, including approving resident applications and conducting apartment inspections. In addition to financial oversight, the Community Manager will be responsible for promoting resident satisfaction and retention by addressing complaints and service requests promptly. Regular property inspections will be conducted to ensure that the property meets established standards for safety, cleanliness, and overall appeal. The Community Manager will supervise property staff, manage their performance, and assist in maintaining a positive client/owner relationship by providing updates on property performance and conducting property tours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by providing updates on property performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and implement marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
