At Cortland, we map the story of your success. We don't adhere to the status quo; we love outside industry perspectives and thrive on exploring possibilities and reimagining solutions. As an innovative leader in multifamily housing, our high performance continues to drive exponential growth, and we invite you to join us on our journey towards real estate excellence. With tools and guidance to sharpen your skills, you can forge your own career path, love what you do, and let it show. As a Community Manager, you will lead the entire site team in conducting the day-to-day operations of a multimillion-dollar multifamily apartment home community. You will be the central figure in ensuring that your community's operations run as smoothly as possible. Your role will require you to be diplomatic, comfortable running the show, and passionate about providing residents with a better living experience. You will provide guidance when residents have any problems, remaining calm and using good judgment to find solutions. Your ability to relate well to all types of personalities will be essential, even when dealing with challenging situations. In your capacity as a mentor, you will lead by example to inspire your site team to go above and beyond the call of duty. You will share priorities with your team to ensure they follow protocol and keep residents loving their community life. Maintaining an open-door policy will be crucial, allowing associates to discuss anything from a new reality TV show to improving their sales skills or planning a resident event. Your high energy will be vital in hiring, training, and motivating your team while minimizing disagreements and misconduct to achieve the ultimate level of synergy. As an entrepreneur, you will enjoy running your own mini-empire like a true business leader. You will manage large accounts and prepare budgets to ensure expenses do not exceed funds. Your skills in assessing the current value of the community and continuously looking for new ways to maximize net operating income (NOI) will be key to your success. The impact you can make is significant; occupancy, retention, and NOI are at an all-time high, even during renovations. Your site team will be on top of their game, ensuring the community runs efficiently and resident life borders on utopian. Existing residents will be proud to call your community their home, and future residents will be eager to move in. Your excellent communication skills will ensure that associates, vendors, and residents always have the information they need.
