The Community Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of our multi-family property's operations, resident relations, and financial performance. The Community Manager will lead a successful team, fostering a sense of community among residents while ensuring the property's overall success. This position is pivotal in creating a positive living environment and enhancing the community's reputation. In this role, the Community Manager will utilize effective recruitment, coaching, motivation, and development techniques to lead a highly skilled team. They will provide guidance and mentorship to the property management team, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment. Setting performance expectations, conducting regular team meetings, and providing ongoing training and development are essential duties that will contribute to the team's success. The Community Manager will also be responsible for cultivating a positive living environment by promoting resident engagement, communication, and community events. Addressing resident inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally is crucial to ensuring resident satisfaction. Additionally, the Community Manager will coordinate maintenance, repairs, and improvements to maintain a well-kept property. Financial management is another critical aspect of this role. The Community Manager will develop and manage property budgets to ensure cost-effective operations, revenue growth, and expense control. Monitoring rent collection, accounts receivable, and financial reporting will be necessary to ensure compliance with company policies. The development and implementation of leasing strategies to optimize occupancy rates and revenue will also fall under their purview. Collaboration with external vendors, contractors, and partners is essential to ensure high-quality services, timely repairs, and cost-effective solutions. The Community Manager must ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, fair housing laws, and property policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to property operations. Marketing strategies will also be developed and implemented to attract and retain residents, enhancing the property's online presence and showcasing its unique features.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years as a Community Manager - Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration - Preferred
  • Proven experience in property management, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for resident interactions and team collaboration
  • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with property management software and technology tools
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and property management laws
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
