About the position

As a Community Manager at Ellipse at Fairfax Corner, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property. This includes managing team members, daily activities, and resources to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals. You will ensure that the property operates in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations, such as the Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Your role will involve providing input into the development of the property budget by analyzing financial statements and operational reports. You will be tasked with meeting targeted revenues by setting rent rates, ensuring timely collection of rent and fees, and preparing monthly financial status reports. Additionally, you will approve invoices from vendors and contractors, ensuring that all expenditures remain within the approved budget while managing the petty cash fund. You will oversee the lease enforcement process, which includes approving resident applications, conducting apartment inspections, and managing the eviction process when necessary. Your ability to gather and analyze market trends will be crucial in implementing effective marketing and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Promoting resident satisfaction and retention will be a key focus, as you will respond to resident complaints and service requests, ensuring that the maintenance team meets company standards. Regular property inspections will be conducted to maintain safety, cleanliness, and overall appeal of the property. As a Community Manager, you will also supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management, while assisting in managing the client/owner relationship through regular updates and property tours.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and team members.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and implement effective leasing strategies.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and develop property staff.
